Interview with JCCAC artist
E: Interviewee - Emily ;M: Interviewer - Manie M: How do you use here? E: I use it as a studio. Some people pass can also buy my artwork. M: So do you think it is useful as a studio? E: It is kind of small, just enough for classes and small scale works, i prefer more open space for doing my work. M: Why do you choose JCCAC as a studio, but not other industrial buildings? E: I actually have a unit in Fotan as well. JCCAC is better in a way that artists are working together and share our ideas, and i can be inspired talking with visitors. M: Then what do you think it needs improvement? E: I’d say he promotion is still not enough, it can be more popular. M: Does here anything trying to solve this problem? E: Yes, indeed. The events here help bring in more people. There are quite a lot of people coming in when there is events. However, some may found this annoying. M: Oh, really? There are different thoughts among artists. E: Exactly. There’re studios for various kind of arts. M: How about the management here? E: There’re too many restrictions. We need more flexibility and open spaces to create. M: Do you think you are close with the community? E: Not really close. I hope to see more events happening here. However, artist can paint the new housing coming and i am looking forward for this. __________________________________________________ Interview with elderly in the community W: Interviewee -Mr Wong; S: Interviewer - Selina) S: Do you like here?
